The regular reader knows that I bought a violet wand a while back and I haven’t written much about my experiences with it.
There is one big problem with having a violet wand, you will never be left alone once you pull it out of your toy bag. It’s a nice problem of course, I love to share knowledge and experiences with other people, but it frustrates both me and Snowpaw that I haven’t been able to use it on her as much as I want to.
Snowpaw’s reactions towards the wand are sometimes mixed, but on a general level she really hates it. This is also one of the main reasons why I am progressing slowly with the violet wand as I don’t want it to become a punishment tool.
One thing is for sure; A violet wand draws a crowd, which was something I suspected when I got it. People are drawn to the visuals of it and the sounds that it creates.
I will return with a more detailed post about our experiences with the violet as soon as we played with it a bit more and in the meantime I will leave you with an interesting video about an antique violet wand kit.
My partner has an original old kit with different shaped glass inserts for various usage on the body. It is a medical device that has, since the 30’s, been updated to contain the UV light more effectively. REMEMBER: this device gives off UV light and it’s NOT filtered. Treat it with mucho respect because it can cause severe cellular damage to skin. Esp. Mucus membranes (vagina, anus, mouth).
Sorry, forgot to add: the antique units, in particular, are to be treated with kid gloves. They have no filtering or insulation (the models of the 70s are at least UV insulated against super-heating). They also give off Ozone gas (O3). Neither the earth early nor later units are flirted and the longer they stay on the more ozone gas they give off. Straight Ozone can cause lung damage when breathed in for periods longer than 10 minutes. Just some FYI for you all to keep in mind so you and your partners stay safe when you play.
