Trying to figure out if people are into BDSM is not always an easy task. One idea is to bring your friends to a BDSM class. Jed Lipiniski brought one of his dates to a BDSM class during their first date. He wasn’t into BDSM himself but it turned out and he got surprised by his female date as well.
I remember the first time I went to a BDSM party in my local area, something I had been avoiding for quite some time due to my fear of coming out and not being in control of it.I went to the party and we arrived a little bit early as there were just a few people standing along the walls in the dim light. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a guy looking and smiling at me. It made me a bit uncomfortable and I looked at myself trying to figure out if I put something on that looked funny. I avoided to look straight and the guy smiling as I felt awkward. After a while of confusion I decided to look at him in order to figure out what was so funny about my appearance.
I looked and him and thought I reckognised him. I looked at him again through the dim lights and then I realised that it was a friend of mine which I hadn’t seen for a bunch of years and we just looked at each other laughing in reckognition. None of us knew about the kinky side that the other had. We started to talk laughing all through the conversation with comment like “Fuck, I never knew that you were into this!”.
It was a relief, it was fun and I realised that even your closest friend can be into BDSM without you knowing it.
