The Dark Side of Porn – Me and My Slaves is a british documentary about a professional male Dominant who turns his back on BDSM.
The Documentary seems to be looking for those simplistic reasons that I’ve mentioned before, where the only conclusion is that you are into BDSM because you are dealing with an unresolved trauma.
Have a look for yourself, does this story relate to why you are into BDSM?
If this is an accurate reflection of British BDSM, how pathetic and sad. This was 1) a lengthy ad by an aging whore for a new patron 2) blatant propaganda, and 3) a freak show. This “pro dom”‘s knowledge of SM skills and health safety seemed very low, his psychological health obviously lifelong disturbed, and he was obviously playing to the camera, willing to offer any scene or comment that might sell. The religious angle, the abuse angle, the addictive personality angle, the tramau/bullying/gays/Dad made me this way angle, the amazingly absurd initiation assault by a mysterious retiring dom story… what bullshit, entirely.
What does it have to do with real BDSM? Nothing. Why are you promoting this trash?
That's the question, if it has to do with BDSM. The image that is being communicated in the documentary is not so uncommon when it comes to how media and other parts of media portray BDSM.
If you have read my posts on a regular basis then you'd probably discover that I am not actually promoting it – I'm using this move as an example for a discussion and the fact still remains whether I would be promoting it or not: This depiction of BDSM exists and becomes clear when people put a pathological angle on why people get involved with BDSM.
As the person depicted in this dysfunctional film,I can honestly say,if the public knew the true Circumstances that revolved around, the production, plus the background story as to why it was produced in the first place, then the comment above would seem,a misplaced angry outburst born from lack of insight.I have been in a legal tussle with C4 ever since. Most programmes involve a large amount of careful direction, this means having to fabricate scenes to suit broadcasting regulations,British porn laws, and appeasing film directors who have a specific remit to produce a film that is palatable for public consumption.Constraints meant there was 24 hours of footage left on the cutting room floor in a dark building in Soho London.I managed to prevent a 2nd broadcast but have no legal opportunity to prevent YouTube showings .I hope future viewers accept this explanation as a form of apology on my part
