I’ve always had a soft spot for the burlesque and goth – I simply like the playful approach towards the dark corners of the human being.
The Mercy Dolls have done a music video that contains a tad burlesque, a couple of ounces of goth and a good amount of leather and D/s play – In other words; My cup of tea.
And as I’ve written before – I like the fact that the pop culture is flirting with BDSM.
I was actually enjoying the video until I realized this website is connected with Second Life! OMG, I have witnessed so many people lose their lives to that ridiculous virtual world. I made the horrible mistake of getting lost in that place for 10 months. Thank God that I finally realized that the REAL world, our 1st and ONLY life, unless of course that you believe in reincarnation, is where our energy, money, and love should be spent. Not in some ridiculous and unhealthy virtual world which allows people to compromise their morals, values, and integrity as they hide behind a computer screen, fearful of facing the real world and LIVING! Since leaving that game I have met a wonderful REAL man, have renewed my career and my love for live in general. I feel so sorry for those that stay hidden in SL and truly hope that they find freedom from an addiction more powerful than any drug before any real damage is done.
Your assumptions are making you misinterpret a lot of things. First of all, this website isn't connected to Second Life, it's actually the other way around. This is a bridge for people that roleplay BDSM and wants to try it out in real life and there is nothing wrong in doing that as SL can cater for the mental aspects of BDSM, which in the end might lead to a willingness to bring it out in real life. People writing on this blog are lifestylers in RL, some of them both in RL and SL and that just means that they have a lot of experience with both BDSM and online BDSM.
Second of all, who are you to pass judgements like that? A lot of your comments are quite narrow minded and wreaks of an attitude where you look down on people, which is so bad that I don't know where to start. Do you look down on certain lifestylers as well or people that don't fit your profile?
I was on the virge of removing your comment, but I will leave it as a monument to the stupidity some people will get into when they think that they are rightious and lack the ability to see their own inabilities and flaws. Your problems and addictions are not to be generalized to everyone else, they are just yours – So keep them to yourself and enjoy them all on your own.
