It has been quiet for a long time…for a very long time actually and that is why kinkypod.com is born.
My life beyond this blog has on the other hand been far from quiet, it has been the opposite to quiet.
I’ve reached a point where the blog has to, yet again, reflect the lack of silence in my life. It has to coexist with ambition that I’ve always had, to tell people about BDSM and make them feel confident with BDSM as a part of their own sexuality or as a part of the sexuality of others.
I stopped blogging on a regular basis back in 2012, I felt that I had to find new reasons to do what I was doing. I reached a point of frustration late 2013 as I was going through a load of BDSM podcasts – Most of them were quite rude to the listeners. Yawning or bad excuses to why the podcast wasn’t done on time are common. I even had to listen to a couple explaining that it was more fun to have a fuck than to record the podcast.
A single thought went through my head; Why the fuck am I listening to this crap?
The next thought was; Can it be done better?
The answer to the first question is quite simple, there are not many choices out there when it comes to podcasts about BDSM which are good. There was a bunch of good ones 5 years ago, but most of them have gone silent.
The second question is a bit harder to answer because if you want to do something better then you need to talk about everything from production value to adding value to the listener.
I got frustrated and I had a growing notion that it could be done way better.
Said and done, I started to build on a new project.
Out came kinkypod.com.
The purpose with kinkypod is clear: To change your perception of BDSM, one podcast at a time. This will be done through a mix of podcasts.
- Submissive Review – A podcast which will help the new and aspiring, as well as the experienced, submissive to find resources that might evolve your submission.
- Voices of BDSM – A podcast where the opinions of the BDSM community is brought out into the light
- Island of Pain – An in-depth interview podcast which allows you to get inside the head of other BDSM practitioners.
We also have a swedish podcast about BDSM for those who live in the Scandinavian part of the world.
It is quite clear that you need the help of the BDSM community to be successful and that is why we need your help, you are a part of the community we want to address, otherwise you wouldn’t have read this post.
